What to Expect
Classes involve full contact wrestling, so be prepared to get sweaty and have fun!
Students receive personal attention from instructors to assess skill levels and to ensure techniques are being done correctly.
New students are usually paired with experienced members to make sure practice is done in a safe and controlled manner.
Please wear durable, loose-fitting clothes, or a gi (uniform). We have spare uniforms to borrow if you are trying a class.
Long hair should be pulled back and tied securely.
Metal is not permitted on the mat for safety reasons. Remove all jewelry and accessories. Piercings that can not be removed should be securely covered with sports tape.
Please do not wear shoes on the mat.
Be respectful of instructors and other students. If you need to take a break, please ask to be excused before leaving the mat.
